Can anyone guess what happened to Hamelac? We learn that a crew will assist in fixing the ship, but how will the “primitive,” yet highly advanced people aboard react? Could they return to their home world? How would they be greeted after having been gone for so long? For generations the crew of this ship has known nothing else, how would you react if life, as you knew it, would change “overnight?”
Such great questions! A follow-up episode exploring one or more of these story lines is quite possible and I would love it!
What's interesting to me is that you see what is basically a "happy ending," but, in reality, a psychological nightmare. The people believe in Dorahl, they have done so for generations and the Reformers have seen nothing but punishment. We'd all love to believe that if positive change takes place it's like a magic trick and 'poof' everything is better, but acceptance or "reform" is not quite as easy.
This mood is way to dark for me, maybe just buy them all a Coke 😉
